Airelimpo is part of Grupo Aire and aims to offer information concerning efficient energy use, leading to reduced utility bills, a lower carbon footprint and impact on our environment. The information is designed with the Canary Islands in mind and we intend to show how home owners, businesses and local governments are taking initiatives and using available technologies to achieve this.The initial idea of AireLimpio came through research into energy efficiency in air conditioning systems by AireFresco . During this research we discovered many interesting facts about ways in which energy and money can be saved by utilising technology and altering the way we use appliances in our homes and businesses.
The use of alternative energy sources, such as wind and solar are other areas which interests us. These technologies are available to everybody and are used today by homes and businesses all over the Canary Islands. Although the costs of these technologies are still relatively expensive, they are becoming increasingly cheaper and a more viable option.
